I’ve been a long time hater of the Ep 1-3.

You can break it down in any way you want to (the plot, the characters, their interactions, the overt fan service, as the last chapter of a saga) but the end result is always the same: This movie simply blows.
Read a 5 year old comic? Im not convinced JJ even bothered to read the script.
nope, prequels were better.
They knew they were making 3. They don't appear to have a plan and nothing forced them to release on time after all those problems. They could have delayed to memorial day or even a full year. People would have griped and gossiped, but they do that either way.
I know it’s derivative, but I enjoyed ‘The Force Awakens’, and I’m one of those people who liked ‘The Last Jedi’ a whole lot. But ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ will go down as one of the all-time cinematic bed-shittings in history.
Yeesh, what a fucking mess this whole trilogy has been. Now let us never speak of it again
You say that like it’s a bad thing.
Terminator 1 & 2 now rendered meaningless thanks to, Dark Fate
Return of the Jedi now rendered meaningless thanks to, Rise of Skywalker.
Hey Hollywoodwood, any other classic movies from our youth you wanna render meaningless? I wonder what Indy 5 is about...
Finally, the full Palpatine saga all in one neat package.
Thank you. None of these movies felt like star wars. Not enough screen wipes, the wrong kind of bad dialog, the wrong kind of bad acting, breaking well established in universe laws of physics(lightspeed skipping), retconning canon, new and old... And the complete besmerchment of RotJ.
Given the mess the sequels are, there is no ten year plan. It's just control freak behaviour.
If Kevin Feige really wants to get Marsden into the MCU, it would make sense to see the Guardians cross paths with the Starjammers. Marsden as Corsair makes a ton of sense.
I wonder what the conversation was like at the table where whatever fucknut at Disney was like “yanno what Han Solo, the charater who’s been basically defined by his role of trying his best to be a pretty fuckin great husband and dad for about 20 years, needs? to be absolute hot garbage at both of those then…
However, Chabon indicated that we should assume Starfleet officers have always used foul language because people use foul language. There was a reason we didn’t see the swearing in previous Star Trek shows and it wasn’t their moral upstanding. It was censorship.
Meanwhile, the Hague recently requested that Netflix remove 6 Underground from its catalog after designating the film a war crime.
Same. Something like the Defiant from DS9 would be a better vibe. Given that that class of ships was initially designed to fight the Borg, it would have been especially welcome.
I’ve been saying it a lot recently: this show feels like a fan film because (so far) it doesn’t have a single elaborate and luxurious set, like a bridge or engineering.
Exactly. I’m 7'1" & have owned Celicas, Jettas, Passats, a Thunderbird SC, a Focus, Crown Vics, a Saab 9-3 convertible & a Jaguar XJR. You’ll note there isn’t a single SUV on that list & I fit in them all just fine. Of course, I also have a sub 40 inch waist measurement too. People who claim they “need” an SUV because…
My kid brother is 6ft6 320 lbs and fits in a Toyota Echo. With his friends. My father is 6ft1 290 and dailys a Volvo 240 comfortably. There are these things called mid size and full size cars.
