I love this show too much. It will get cancelled.

I always wondered why it was called a ‘pantry’!

Star Wars (OG)

“Vote Nixon! What could possibly go wrong?”

Keeping that kind of company is almost enough to make me defend The Last Jedi. Almost.

Let us not watch Gotham, it is a silly programme.

God of War III was the only game I stopped playing simply because I couldn’t stand to spend another second in the company of the asshole lead character. ‘m not sure I’m willing to give that monumental chump a shot at redemption or growth.

2:21 “Based on the novel ‘MEG’ by Steve Alten”

You can totally get past Aubrey Plaza if you take a right on Diane Lane and duck down Kirstie Alley.

Please don’t give JJ ideas.

This. Of course to really kill the past, you have to buy up the rights to it for four billion dollars so you can remake those old movies that everyone should just forget about, only with less visual flair and less coherent plotting. But: new, so good.

I actually kind-of liked The Force Awakens. The plotting and visuals were a letdown, but I was upbeat to see what happened next. I don’t think you’re really addressing my points with the glasses thing: you could say that about anyone who doesn’t like something you do, and rose-tinted spectacles are just as likely.

You know, I could live with their story choices - the coincidence, the non-sequiturs, the dropped threads - if the films held up as works of visual imagination. TFA and TLJ deliberately invite comparison with Eps 4 and 5. “I’ll see your ice planet and raise you.. salt! See your floating city and raise you... a town

“Refuted” means proved incorrect. I think you mean “disagreed with”. But I will now refute your points. The flaws of the movie are not all of a piece: there are many things wrong with it that aren’t all connected. That’s not “a changing argument”, more “an embarrassment of riches”.

Anakin’s native power was the setup for the whole saga. Rey coming in with no relation to anything in the previous six episodes is just arbitrary. Why is it the same story, when the threads don’t connect? What does the new trilogy do to continue or resolve the story up to that point? It might have worked as a separate

Weird how they spent four billion dollars buying something they had so little respect for. Weirder still to half-ass their own efforts with a rushed production schedule, leave directors to their own devices, and openly invite comparison to two movies that are just plainly better, all the while hectoring the audience

That and he was into vinyl way before it was cool.

“Pouchie died on the way back to his home planet.”

So I see it also contains the old myth about Mary Magdalene being the prostitute Jesus saves from stoning, which is, like a lot of conservative christians’ dearly held myths, not in the Bible. I wouldn’t touch this thing with a bargepole.

“Fascist cult”? How dare you! It’s “fascist death cult” to you sir.
