I wondered if they are talking about forging rather than straight casting because straight cast aluminium is not that strong. This would be similar to forged wheels in which case this thing would be maybe 10x bigger than existing wheel forges.

Something like the Aussie Supercar format is great from a spectator point of view. There are 3 endurance events, a 400, 500 and the Bathurst 1000. Senna was the driver I watched most, in Australia most of the races were shown live late at night or even early hours of the morning but there was something about him that made for unmissable watching.

I find there seems to be two types of people, those that think “someone needs to look at that” and the ones who think “I better take a look at that.”
