I’d like to point out that in Australia we have professional fire fighters but by far the biggest response to bush fire is from the huge volunteer contingent. In all areas where bush fire is a risk “vollies” are recruited, trained and ready to go anytime an emergency arises.

Given the Texan propensity for large scale industrial “accidents” its only a matter of time before it becomes a part of the gulf.
