how dare you have yr own opinion! how dare you!

i agree, in that while some of his movies haven’t aged as well sfx-wise, he is always actually ahead of the curve, sfx-wise. & some of his movies have aged beautifully, or at least interestingly, sfx-wise, because they actually take great care & craft in their work, & don’t cut corners the way some productions do.

this has been in prod. for yrs, with a writers room developing stories & scripts (the sort of thing you find on multi-season hbo shows); so whatever flaws or virtues, it will probably be better scripted than the orig. movie.
& i say this dispassionately, as someone who enjoyed the movie when i finally saw it after…
