That makes a bit more sense, since the graveyard is not the most immediately approachable concept for new players. It definitely didn't help that outside of threshold there didn't seem to be any overarching mechanics. I mean there was madness but that probably just confused players even more.

If I can ask, what exactly was muddled about Onslaught cycle? Tribal block seems pretty straight forward to me, though that was about the time I started (Odyssey) so I really wasn't that heavy into it yet.

Limited is about the only format where I buy cards anymore. I can't keep up with modern and standard but it is always fun playing with new cards. You just have to make sure you know what cards you could be running into.

I meant the actual books and short stories written as accompanying pieces, which, again, have some cool ideas and had some decently written stuff when they outsource the writing to actual authors, but you can tell quite a bit of it was written by the flavor designers.

In fairness, EDH tries to add a bit of flavor to the proceedings, as you can have your general act as a sort of avatar for what you want to do and build the deck around that. And as CommunistDotter said, you really show through how your deck is played.

EDH actually got me back into Magic around Alara after taking a few years off after Time Spiral. The format is a lot of fun but of course there are going to be people who treat it in a hyper competitive manner like any other format. And yes, it is irritating.

Having played a bit of this at a friends place, I can confirm it is much better than the dreadful "New" series, which are some of the laziest Nintendo games ever.

I'm glad Media Molecule made another gem here. My Black Friday plans mostly consist of finally getting a Vita and this will probably be the first purchase I make.

Really sucks that this game isn't up to snuff, Mark Cerny designed a pretty great console.

I am surprised by the amount of teams Sony has that I always look forward to. Santa Monica, Media Molecule, Sucker Punch, etc.

Never owned by Sony and given their recent track record it looks almost like a Nintendo/Rare situation, though the new R&C did look good.

Well, it has Resogun. That's worth the $400 price of entry, right?

Ironic considering how long last generation was and I still have a PS2 backlog.

Naughty Dog is pretty much Sony's best development team, hands down.

I did come down from my PS4 high a little bit yesterday when I realized that I need to upgrade my PC sometime in the near future too.

Those 2 or so times a year I get linked a pop song from someplace like Japan or Korea I can never figure out what's going on. The occasional word in English doesn't help anything either.

While I do agree, Highlander 2's attempts to explain were so out of left field it was as if the didn't try anyways.

Goosebumps recently being put up on Netflix convinced my friends and I to watch a few episodes which reminded me of just how many of these things I read as a kid. All terrible but 5 year old me loved the shit out of them. Definitely a big reason I read as much as I do.

That was one of the least funny episodes the show has ever done. The only jokes that landed for me were the ring tone and the random black Twilight fan, but they didn't even really do anything with him either.

My friends and I actually just watched this over the weekend and it was surprisingly good. I think the Spoony One summed it up best when he said it's, "…better than any movie named Pumpkinhead has the right to be."
