WRONG!!! Everyone should drive a 2008 Honda Fit Sport with duct tape holding up the bumper. It can haul anything you NEED. IF you have more than 3 kids, too bad, just sell a few. If you haul boat, buy a canoe. If you haul a trailer, just go really slow. Everyone should have a Honda Fit, because that is the car that

“Real farmer”? My grandfather owned a series of GM trucks because they were necessary on our farm and I would never, ever suggest he wasn’t a “real” farmer. I would imagine there are many other farmers across the U.S. who would feel the same way. That was a seriously short-sighted comment to make.

I have a new F150 super crew 4wd, short bed V8. It gets better mileage then my Chevy SS, and my JKUR. It can tow more, it has a huge interior for my family of 4 plus a dog. I can fill up the bed with 1700 lbs of disk blades and various steel parts, then clean out the bed in less then 10 minutes. I can leave the tail

I don’t know why even bother arguing. First, it’s Erik, who has almost universally terrible opinions.

No. That’s simply statistically false. Vast majority of sales are into pure commercial and “fleet” sales.

Yeah, the “truck hatred” is strong.... they have no idea that most light and medium duty sales are actually into “fleet” applications. Whether it’s electricians, dry-wallers, farmers... the vast majority go to work, doing real work.

I don’t like Erik so much it made sense and I am convinced.

Grew up on a small farm. The only thing a farmer does is take his crop to market? We raised cattle, so we hauled hay (square bales) to different fields, cleared manure out of the barns and near feeding areas, installed barbed wire fencing, cut trees and hauled out the wood. Maintained ponds far from any road, just to

In fairness, I don’t think the panic is for 2 weeks. The panic is over the fact that we’re about a month in overall and there’s absolutely no end in sight.

I could only imagine all the childish articles that would be written about “MANUFACTURE X, THE OVERLORD CORPORATE ASSHOLES, HAVE $XBILLION ON HAND BUT CONTINUE TO UNDERPAY THEIR AMAZING WORKERS” etc if these companies actually did pocket tons of money year after year. Is there a world where auto unions don’t endlessly

Rush is where we are at. It’s not hubris, it’s the grim reality. And keep in mind these companies aren’t going at it alone. They’re partnered with medical companies. They’re largely just providing manufacturing capacity.

Last year I took a 401k loan to pay off the remaining 10 grand I owed on my student loans to save on the high interest rate paid to the government (which was basically matching my ROI) and instead pay interest to myself as well as get rid of PMI on my mortgage. Where’s the 10k check for everyone who paid their dues

That’s what it feels like sometimes... Rewards for the dumb upper class and the dumb lower class.

This.

“we’ll surpass China in number of cases”

Neutral: I’m not normally pro-bailout, but right now I think we need to be supporting both people and their employers in every way we can possibly think of. This crisis isn’t the result of poor business practices, like the 2008 financial crisis was. It’s the result of a pandemic, and even companies that were healthy

NOVA is terrible. And, the cliche holds true... any car with a Maryland plate should be viewed as negligent at best, hostile at worst. Fuck that place now and forever.

Sincerely,

I hate it.  But I’ll get used to it.  In fact, it’s sort of an improvement.  Actually I prefer it.  The next one after this will be terrible, surely.

Psst. Boomers invented the Internet. Your mom is your problem.

Also, this is the ugliest generation of WRX by far. It’s offensively bland, like someone got halfway done drawing the car’s line and then just said “ehhhh, screw it”.
