I knew a guy in the early 80s who had a CJ with a 304 V8. At the time, I was a fairly inexperienced driver, but I thought it was insanely overpowered for the length of the wheelbase. I found it unnerving to drive. I think it had a 4 sp with granny.

So this was a car on the British roads?
That’s where my nice ‘89 Camry went. :/
Does that mean that a trip to the Smog Ref would not be able to sort things out for California?

I had a Dasher wagon, diesel-powered, and I modded it with the transaxle from a Quantum. Decent car.
I am not a kitty-cat.
But can I hate Burt Reynolds?

Hey: speak for yourself, Mr. Suck-a-Bull.
Maybe a side stick like they install in the fly-by-wire Airbus jetliners.
Might has to has one of those...
I got this from my brother on Oppositelock. I know almost nothing about the NHL beyond what has rubbed off due to my brother’s fanaticism. But Scott’s article is beautifully written and all has ended well for him.
Hell. Yes.

I had one of those. I replaced the transaxle with a unit from a VW Quantum; much smoother and higher top end. Very successful mod.
How many of us tame, law-abiding drivers have had the urge to do just this many times? Lane splitting, revving the motorcycle engine only to startle us. Motorcycle anarchists: karma’s a bitch.
