One aspect of white natural born citizen privilege is that one’s biggest fear is going to prison for wrongdoing, while in the immigrant and POC communities they have much bigger things to fear such as death or separation from children.

In the immigrant communities, there is very common knowledge that voting without citizenship is a huge no no, and it revolves around the consequences which include revocation of a green card, deportation and permanent bans from ever being allowed in the country again. Immigrants fear this stuff above all.

These headlines suck. The shooting involved an on-duty cop. By labeling the shooting as being done by an ex cop it leads people to think that this is a crime of one civilian against another. Be more clear, please.
