Do you stop going to movies when an actor like Johnny Depp is accused of domestic violence? Did you stop buying records when Chris Brown was exposed as a menace to women? I don't understand the idea that Ray Rice's behavior means I have to stop watching a sporting event.

Cleveland wants a good quarterback. If his last name is Manziel, or Luck, or Namath, or Elway, no one cares. Johnny was always a risk in the NFL anyway, given his size, and his game play proved the critics right, so the city has moved on to the next guy. Maybe a miracle will happen and RGIII will win 8 games.

Since Manziel isn't even a member of the Browns anymore, and he only played sporadically (and badly) in his two-year career, I'm pretty sure the city has moved on.

"I'm not interested in that thing you like" is a pretty dickish attitude to take through life, I think. The dad who learns to love his kids' dance recitals is a better person than the dad who holds on to his disinterest like a badge of honor. I don't know squat about soccer but I like talking to my Brazilian

Very glad Fantastic Four #176 was mentioned. I read that story as a kid and loved seeing the inside of the Marvel offices.

The Mary Jane character was always written as a party girl, and Banks would have conveyed that attitude much better than Dunst did. In the most recent iteration, Emma Stone was 23 when she played high school student Gwen Stacy, so it's not like actors can't be made to look and act younger.

I actually thought the list would be worse than this. It might be worth it to go see Joan Jett-Cheap Trick, or Steve Winwood.

I've got three pairs of tickets and three discount coupons.

Free tickets to Alice Cooper is like a giftcard to Applebees.

Watched the OJ thing on ESPN. Also a movie about Michael Pena as Cesar Chavez and a movie about Sarah Silverman as a depressed person.

So the point of these movies is what rating they have? We compare it to Deadpool because that movie was some cinematic achievement that needs to be emulated?

No, I think you use the word "infamous" because people have mixed feelings about the giveaway. Was Oprah generous? Yes. Was such a thing over-the-top? Yes. Is a free car a great gift for the average person? Yes. Does getting a free care saddle the recipient with unexpected expenses, like taxes and other fees? Yes.

Awesome.
Is it possible to create a Kickstarter that does the same thing? Because I would love to do this.

Jon Benjamin and Patrick Warburton are fantastic choices.

Will Lyman, who does the voiceovers for PBS' Frontline, makes everything sound fantastic. He also does the "Most Interesting Man in the World" voiceovers. If not him, I would choose Stacy Keach or the late John Facenda for the same reasons.

I think the ranking is quite good, although I would be inclined to place X2 as the best one. But thank you for ranking the overrated Deadpool at #7, only marginally better than the franchise's two clear duds. Watching X2 last night, I found myself trying to figure out the continuity problems that have been created by

I do sick shit with my Thomas Tank Engine trains but you don't see me putting it online.

Prince used a shortened version of "Computer Blue" on Purple Rain in order to fit all the songs on a single album, but I like the longer version better. And heck, I think the movie should have been called Purple Rain 1999, with a running time of four hours, so that he could have included all of 1999's songs in the

TJ Miller is a national treasure.
Oooh, that should have been one of the options. "National Treasure, and National Treasure 2."

Serrano's analysis reminds me of Grantland all right; it's wordy, the observations are both obvious and not particularly clever, and for some reason people treat it as fantastic writing.
