One telling tidbit: the nurse who treats Frank as he’s dying is Macy’s daughter Sophia - you know, the one he paid a bribe to get into college? If that’s not emblematic of the tone-deaf nature of the powers that be, I don’t know what is.

It’s 2021. Could they really not clip together and CGI a Fiona appearance? Even a brief one? Even a sort of hallucination/ghost interacting with Frank? Yes, Covid may be a genuine reason it couldn’t happen, but having Covid exist in world, you could have even just had Emmy Rossum do a Zoom call.

Where the hell was Cecily Strong?

So sorry to inject this superficial personal opinion, but my God, is Ego Nwodim beautiful!

I read a few reviews saying this is mediocre so I didn’t have high expectations going in. I’m surprised at good it is so far. I haven’t Kadeem Hardison in anything in years and I am blown away by how good he is. And, yeah, the dialogue is very funny.

When I first started watching, I didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Nothing really outstanding but the two leads are pretty fantastic. I could easily see Anjelica Bette Fellini (Blair) being added to the cast of Stargirl....the new Green Lantern, perhaps.

Halfway through it now.  The two teens are funny as hell.  Its not deep TV and its have some oddly slow moments but I’m enjoying it.

“I said don’t you flip your glasses up at me Kadeem Hardison!”

When the music rolled into the old theme my heart grew three sizes.

Once George Lucas gave James Earl Jones enough money to legally claim that Mark Hamill was his kid. It’s going to take years to sort out his will when he passes away.

I watched it. and overall enjoyed it. It probably helps I didn’t read the source material.

I mean, the chosen one trope is a trope we’ve had for thousands of years and is part of almost every mythology on Earth, including the two biggest religions on Earth right now, so yeah, I think it’ll survive without much trouble. The idea of a single person being chosen by some higher power to accomplish a great feat

Molly spends too much of her time keeping score.

My working theory is that Geraldine founded The Twelve out of resentment toward her mother for neglecting her

I briefly hoped the “two years later” coda would show Carrie having become a sad lumberjack.

I agree, I think it’s fitting and rewarding that the show has gotten to the point where killing Saul is on the table. This show has always pulled big ridiculous moves like this, because that’s what spy movies and shows do.

The only scenario I can see Saul dying is if its on his terms and it yields something big, like turning Yevgeny into an asset along with getting the flight recorder. The season will not end with Yevgeny winning and Carrie becoming his asset. She played him in S7, wouldn’t be surprised if she has some bigger game in

Wow, I disagree with this review.  This was a fantastically paced and written episode.  I particularly liked the reveal of the Cold War dealings.  The cross cutting reminded me of le Carre.

Ben Savage (Cory from Boy Meets World) was young Saul here, and he also played a young Mandy Patinkin in Criminal Minds. Talk about a niche.

Hope it works out better for her than Michael Keaton in Multiplicity.
