The short answer: D/CC. How to do this is important and can be found on my web site in the blog or online through reputable sources.

I prefer not to allow a dog to pee without me when I am teaching them a potty training behavior. Otherwise, as you’ve stated, how can you know or reward when they are eliminating? Many dogs, at a year old, still do not lift their leg. Not a problem, although im sure cleaning up his paw occasionally is annoying. Train

“ is there any good way to reassure his dog about my presence for the brief time we are together?” No. However, what this dog needs and would help overall is D/CC. There is an article about D/Cc on my site however a certified behaviorist would be advised to work with this environment and family directly.

Yes. Or better yet, try and learn which dogs she doesnt get along with or are triggers for her and respond before they enter the park

As the advocate for your dog do not expose them to things or beings that are triggering or causing a negative reaction. Look into D/CC and hiring a certified behaviorist or trainer to help who understands the above and does not use punition or force of any kind.

I have an article about toys on my blog you should read. However, teaching which toys and what is appropriate to chew on and what isn’t would be very important. Teaching no mouth on humans or skin is a great fundamental for any dog to learn.

Not GSD off the top of my head but i have a books section under my resource page of my web site that will start you off on the right foot towards learning about learning theory and training...etc

SA is a complex issue. On my web site i have a free guide to help you along the way.

On my web site blog i have a free comprehensive potty training guide

Provide adequate stimulation and enrichment for your dog. Set up the environment for success for your dog/s to do dog appropriate behaviors/activities. (Such as digging) more exercise, stimulation and enrichment. Your dog sounds unemployed. Look at other responses to same issues.

Go to my blog where i have an extensive potty training guide that will help you

Check out other responses to Jumping.

Short answer: Don’t take her to a dog park with dogs she doesn’t get along with. Quieter times would be more appropriate. Stay away from rush hour at the park. never let a dog rehearse inappropriate behaviors as they get stronger

Try and figure out who/what triggers him most and stay away from those stimuli until you have a professional help with D/CC . Behavior problems such as reactivity are often progressive and will not get better by themselves. Never use:

Yes. Google “Look At Me” games for dogs. a version of SD/CC

Can be a host of things causing this. However, at the very least manage the environment. Do not allow the dog to rehearse these behaviors. If it means separating the dog from the children, do so until you can find a behaviorist to come and evaluate the situation more thoroughly.

I just wrote this to a very similar questions. Pasted below:
