But that makes him a plot device, not an interesting character.

"Let's go have some drinks so you can relax and learn to compartmentalize dealing with serial killers."

She was the worst. I feel like the only direction the actress received was "You're, like, a bad girl."

The scene where Annalise is begging to be shot is probably the best scene the show has had.

I feel like the Olivia/Fitz blow up didn't really feel earned considering we just had an episode that featured the reveal that Olivia had Rowan released, but the final nail was Olivia feeling suffocated by being First Lady?

Animorphs is severely underrated. I'm shocked I was allowed to read them when I was 10. Those books were fucked up.

I actually really liked this episode. Livewire was fun and campy, served as a good counterpoint to Supergirl, and it gave Cat more to do and fleshed her out a bit.

They love Jane the Virgin, which fits way more plot development in one episode than most shows out there.

I tend to think that How To Get Away With Murder is a C show. It's at its best when it's entertaining enough to make you forget how flawed it is.

It kind of reminds me of the negative reaction to the Castor clones.

It would maybe make sense if Simon has latent homosexual desires and that's why he seemed to think "pretending" to be gay would be a good facade.

To be fair, he outright told Jane that he was going to butt out since she has the baby. It was Jane who let him know that he has a chance. And she's keeping him in her orbit.

Well, he presented himself as gay to the extent where he faked a picture of him with his boyfriend. He didn't portray himself as a mincing sissy, but he was pretty upfront to everyone about being gay.

At first I thought it was because he was suspicious that something was up with them, mostly because there's not enough established to really make us see any actual chemistry.

I think it's queer baiting, they had the actor giving interviews about playing a gay tv character, so it seems like a cheap way to try and garner attention.

I think he hated the way the show was written. He was frustrated because the writers didn't tell the actors about upcoming reveals about characters.

I thought this episode was pretty meh. The case of the week felt like warmed over leftovers from any other TV show out there, especially when The Good Wife tackled it in a more interesting and less sensational way.

It's just weird that the show uses rape to explain away the complexities of two female characters, but it's fine having a character accuse a man of rape and another episode in which a man is raped is revealed to be gay plot to get money.

Any episode with a lot of courtroom scenes instantly becomes a C, because they're some of the most ridiculous courtroom scenes on TV.

Maybe she did something to contribute to the suicide, which is the source of Annalise's self hatred?
