I like some IPAs, others not so much, but I'd be lying if I said I had a very refined palate when it comes to beer. The first beer I ever tasted (a forbidden sip from my dad's can when I was eight) was PBR, and I guess that's what I think beer should taste like. I do not enjoy Corey Feldman's brand of "entertainment". Watching him makes me feel sad. That is all.

Well, the money's certainly all right there on the screen. Maybe the thing just hit me in the sweet spot, but I think it's a goddamn masterpiece.

For my money, he's the only true "poet" in rock and roll. And if you haven't checked out his stuff from the late sixties/early seventies, the great singles "Tulane" and its sequel "Have Mercy Judge" are a great place to start. The "Rockit" album is underrated too.

Most "horror" movies aren't very scary, honestly. I remember being pretty unsettled by "The Exorcist", and "Alien" was scary as hell on first viewing. I think a really good horror flick has to stay with you in some elemental way. That's why I've always argued that "Taxi Driver" is first and foremost a horror movie.

At this point, I'm not too worried about Trump winning. I'm worried about what's gonna happen if he doesn't win. You know, "Tree of Liberty" and all that jazz.
