According to CNN, there are two cards printed. One of them is opened by an auditor as the other is opened on stage, to make sure the right name is read. So it seems that the auditor’s card got out on the stage somehow.

Actually I think everyone keeps their cards (you can see some previous winners holding theirs in this video). Either Emma set hers down on top of the one that was to go out next, or there was a duplicate that got sent out. Emma says she had hers the whole time (despite her not holding one on stage).

For all the people going on about Warren lying, and Emma’s comments. There ARE two envelopes on stage during the madness (actually, more than that even from earlier awards). The guy in the headset brings up the correct one. Look at :54 in the video above. The guy behind the man speaking is holding the envelope…

At least it appears he was trying to put his hand on her heart.
