Ok, I think everyone is missing the point on this. Do we think it's coincidence the LFA happened to come out after all this time just when all of a sudden this FT-86 appears? The LFA was designed and built to sell FT-86's. Who cares how much the LFA costs? They could charge $1mil a piece, they're still going to find

I actually like it. C'mon, couple this with a Civic Si swap or something, and this may be as close to Jalopnik as a tuner job could possibly get.

@ClintonOddfellow: I think people here are dismissing it because it's a Hyundai. The Equus could be so good it makes the Maybach feel like a NY cab, but with a Hyundai badge, who wants it? It's great that they're building better and more glamorous cars now, but really, until they create a new brand for this and the

@DarthLefty: Producer must have been behind finding a story on twitter for the next segment.

I'm so confused. Do they really need a laser to detect the presence of someone in the car? Are robots with video cameras too 80's?

Now that's what I call a hood ornament.

@Mad_Science: I always thought that was just the mufflers nissan/infinity put on as corporate policy to go along with their "all our cars are super-happy-sporty" or whatever. G35, FX, 350Z, they all sound like the same crappy tomato-can civic. I always figured with a real exhaust on there—either quieter or more open,

@leavethegun-takethecannoli: The acuras need RWD too, though being hondas of course that will never happen. But I've driven a TL and lord is it fast, but almost 300hp in a FWD car is just silly.

@Rushkie: Whups actually meant to post this one, where the driver just strangles the poor little thing:

Since this is turning into post your favorite engine sound video, I'll end it with this:

@Ash78: I just don't understand how even given the jellybean shape that Honda decided was unavoidable, they couldn't have at least tried to make it look less like - as someone else pointed out - a chinese many-happy-funtime-prius. Why not steal the futuristic euro-spec civic hatch design or something?

@rpm773: Maybe Elon Musk has found his slightly used plant though?

@stinkycatfish: Baseless slander! What esteemed automaker such as Audi employs a Rear Cargospace Engineer without the most basic of qualification?

@RS faux: Does that air-raid blackout cover come standard?

Measuring trunk space for dead-hookerage I see. I like the way these Germans think.

@optional flavor: No truer words. I had a tear in my eye watching the magnificence of creation.

@80honda: So you're saying China needs to buy more of America?

@jdoubleh is 'bout to get quadrazontal: I like the factory body-color wheels, but I have reservations about rear visibility. Thanks Jalopnik, but I'm thinking I should wait for Consumer Reports on this one before I go pre-ordering anything.
