Yeah, I’m with you there. We live in a scary time where there is a big fight happening between reasonably rational people and the forces of the anti-enlightenment. I hope the latter doesn’t win; their views are predicated on rejecting reality to advance their short-term greed to the detriment of everyone else.

Airlines have a very high incentive to ensure people get through their airports quickly and safely.

The private sector acts solely in its own interest, nothing more and nothing less. It’s not much of a surprise that Delta would want to get paying customers in more efficiently, just as it’s not much of a surprise that Walmart and Amazon treat their employees like cattle.

Driving away from customers and boasting about it in the media is certainly not going to get him paid.

I do make $100k/year and I support him. I dont want anything for free (except free Uber rides like that guy in Funbag lucked into) but I would appreciate it if roads and bridges were maintained/improved.

They actually said in the run-up to the vote that the names should reflect science or scientific endeavor. The “government” also brought up a very valid point: as the ship will primarily be researching climate change, it should be called something that will keep conservatives from instantly deriding and dismissing it.
