Go find the Gob Bluth quotes page at IMDB and just read on through it in Trump's voice. It's fun!

I've only seen the first four seasons or so, but I think you've described the show and its ancestors and descendants—and its pros and cons—really well. A terrific and thoughtful and well-written article!

My goodness, you know a lot of words, don't you? Good job.

Not so amazing when you think back to 2008. McCain is not a great judge of character.

Ricky Nelson? He had a beautiful plaintive note in his voice.

If there was no other reason to hate fucking "Friends," it's that it ruined "With Or Without You" for me.

"They Can't Take That Away From Me" is such an extraordinary song. I love the way Ella sings it, and the Ella/Louis duet, but there's also a really good Fred Astaire version out there, too, recorded in the 50s, I believe, not from the movie.

Love Over Gold for me.

"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack. I realize that this marks me as a 70s child, and I'm cool with that. So much emotion in such a quiet song.

And preferably painfully. I'm thinking infected hemorrhoid.

I've been using my Ikea chef knives (cheaper price point than yours, but can't remember what I paid)) for 15+ years and I basically can't cook without them at this point. I've got one with a curved blade and one with a flat blade and each has its strong points.

The book version really is heartbreaking. Danny idolizes his dad, and Jack wants so desperately to do good by him. The Shining is one of my favorite books.

That's because he was Glenn Ford and he ruled.

I love the scene in the BBC version where he gives his consent to her marrying Darcy and kisses her on the forehead and just blinks a couple of times as he does. Then gives her a little smile after. The actor really got that emotion in an understated way.

My memory is completely failing me—what happened to Buffy's real dad? Was he ever featured?

I hadn't thought of them, but that is definitely a fun relationship. They remind me a bit of my husband and his dad—always looking for something fun to get absorbed in together.

It made me emotional, too. My dad is certainly not an idiot like Homer, but I've always had a hard time connecting with him, and those moments have been rare, so I can really relate to those rare moments when Homer and Lisa connect. Definitely my favorite parent-child relationship.

And I love watching Keegan-Michael Key reacting to these lunatics. He's got his game show host schtick and it's just not working at all when faced with the Reynolds Family.

She and Patricia Heaton always sound the same to me, and not in a good way.

My experience has been exactly the same. Would you like to share my Ativan?
