That’s incorrect. If the ball goes “over” the upright, it’s no-good. The ball MUST travel between the uprights (there are imaginary lines which extend above the uprights). If the ball goes “over” ANY apart of the upright, the thought is...the ball made contact with the upright, and therefore is no-good. Like you said,

you are blind. It was clearly good. If the ball goes over the upright it is good. Get a book. Learn the rules.

Agreed about the rule. Looks wide to me though. That said, I think you’d have to have a shot from right below the upright to be sure.
