RIP... I can’t find it sourced but I’ve heard attributed to him one of the best quotes I’ve seen on college football. Edwards was asked if he preferred his wide receivers to be big or to be fast. He said “I’d prefer they were both, but if they were, they’d be at USC.”
On the plus side, he’ll only be in office until he goes against the wishes of the Republicans in Congress, at which point they’ll impeach him (using the mountains of evidence) and install Pence.
I guess you’re right, since I didn’t really specify “worst candidate *I* could imagine” in the first post. I think an incompetent, unprincipled, moderately intelligent at best, shitty businessman who’s a bully and criminal is as bad as I could come up with. I guess maybe Kodos might be worse.
Well, because I can’t imagine a worse candidate being nominated, lol (including Hillary, who I voted for)
It was a rounding error against THE SINGLE WORST CANDIDATE IMAGINABLE, which to me implies she’d have done worse against anyone competent.
No can do. Harry Potter is on!
That seems like a lot of work. But you’re welcome!
Poor guy could’ve been the de facto President and instead the loser from West Ohio Lite gets to do it!
A candidate who annihilates people in some states but narrowly loses ones she should win is pretty much the definition of unelectable.
It’s not, but the point is that when you need to raise an army to kill a monster, don’t pick a general that half the soldiers won’t fight for.
Did you want the Electoral College to stop Trump? That’s what it was there for, it didn’t do its job. The Superdelegates were put in to prevent an unelectable candidate (like George McGovern) from being nominated. They didn’t do their job either.
That’s why the new star of “24" is African-American. It’s an allegory for Obama trying to take all of our guns on the last day of his Presidency.
*snicker* I think you’ve absolutely got the “Democratic establishment” take on this.
Man, poor Lincoln Chafee. That guy’s career feels like nothing but unfair beatdowns.
Only one from the Democratic side though, and that’s what mattered (although I agree the RNC should have stopped him as well).
Let’s assume for a second that everything you say above is true (I disagree on “completely qualified”, and the part about her only flaw, but most of it is correct enough).
Well, (Democratic) primaries absolutely can be decided “by fiat” if they’re anywhere close to competitive - that’s actually the entire reason that superdelegates exist.
She COULD have won, sure. Just about anybody else the Democrats might have run WOULD have won, and that’s the main difference.
Weirdly enough, if there wasn’t anything worth hacking in the DNC and Podesta emails, Russian hackers wouldn’t have been able to do shit. It takes a special degree of entitlement to get caught…
Hey, at least Joe Flacco has a Super Bowl ring. Hillary only beats him out in eyebrows, 2-1.
