@J-a-z: Good point.
@J-a-z: Good point.
@ProfessorSlowmobile: Ow. What did I ever do to you?
Although it's hard to tell from the video, ORP is a terrific track, with lots of elevation changes, tight corners and diverse change-ups. I got a chance to drive a few laps last summer, and it was a blast.
@Blue387: Probably too old to throw cars around the track, but that's an interesting idea. He'd be a lot more entertaining than their current cast.
@Novaload: Yeah, I think the red spot is where his head hit. Head/body = separate. Not a nice death.
@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: I was gonna make the obligatory comment about airbags, but I studied the photo a little longer and decided to just say "thank you."
@GTRbrian: Excellent demonstration! :)
@Potatosw✭tter: This thing?
Monmouth, Oregon? Seriously? I live about 45 minutes away. We have a state law that clearly prohibits anything interesting from ever happening in Monmouth.
@Flathead Smith and the Screaming Straight Pipes: It's actually a beautiful area. I'm in favor of preserving the natural beauty while maintaining industry and forest management. I work with state foresters, and I understand that a healthy approach is a balanced one.
I don't want to piss on the whole planet—just the part with the obnoxious environmentalists.
@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: Sadly, I actually have an OED. I think it weighs about 20 pounds. If I'm not careful, holding my OED in my lap could cause ED.
@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: ED = erectile dysfunction. I'm only familiar with it in an academic, nonempirical way, of course. :)
@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: As long as he's OED and not just ED. That would be a shame.
@LoganSix: I don't know this guy. Is he Freddie Mercury's mini-me?
@clevemire: As my wife says, Spandex is a privilege—not a right.
@VeeArrrSix: Why? It's just a lame-ass Golf. It should be honored to be roasted by Murcielago flames.
@Black_Betty: I'm surprised your German accent didn't tip him off.
@twitchykun(lvl. 75 Yellow Fever Vector)): Years ago I put a balanced, blueprinted Chevy 350 into an 88 Fiero GT. It had about 360 hp and 370 ft-lbs. At freeway speeds I could get the wheels and dual-clutch to slip. It was wonderful and truly frightening.
@bmoreDLJ: It's not the drugs—it's Portland (where I also live). Portland turns most people into pretentious, white, liberal, car-hating zombies.
