That jeep is the boss. Although I think if they could find a 1-ton standard cab short box and put lockers on it, the added weight may help with towing.

I agree with you. I also don’t like RTTs because I like to base camp and explore from there. That is a pain in the ass with a RTT.

I don’t disagree, though I do think that a hardshell RTT solves a lot of the troubles you describe. My last trip had all the correct setups. 2 trucks with low mounted fold outs, a 80 series with hard shell and sleeping in the car.

Can’t watch at the moment, but I like these I “think.” We’ve met some other travelers with them and they seem like the biggest vehicles that can still do some trails. Lots of nice campers built on them. I like the twin box low range and lockers. So many toys!

Is the end goal of the trip the tip of South America and then ship Goose back to the US? I think one of my favorite parts of the series though is probably not knowing where the trip is going.
