For me it was mostly trial an error, and my background in CSS helped too. Primers on javascript, which I belive the coffeescript code is based off might be a good place to start if you want to learn more.

So much this.
No system of anything is perfect. We can all think of situations where the mister will fail, but we already know the downsides of standard sprinklers. We do the best we can, and sometimes can get improvements. Somebody up thread pointed out that sprinklers aren’t so much there to fight the fire by themselves, but to…
well said. I would only add one bit. If youre looking at mulitple ignition points start asking who was playing with matches. lol While multiple ignition points can happen for many reasons other than an accident, if the points are dissimilar or far apart it points toward arson, at which point the goal is to defeat any…
In residential (NFPA 13R) systems, flexible pipe is already allowed. They usually use PEX which is pretty resilient stuff.

One of the things that Thor Heyerdahl always went on about was that is is incredibly important to remember that these ancients were of the same species we are. They are literally us, not some weird central casting “primitive”. Your average Homo Sapien from 15000BC didn’t have a lot of the accumulated knowledge to draw…

Difficult to find the whole thing on youtube where the audio is not all messed up or in a different language. this will get you started though..
CGI dick-waving from the tail end of the “check out how we can zoom through this shit forever” era. I think there’s a case to be made for it being the pinnacle of that kind of shot (Peter Jackson is the worst offender here); but AFAIK it is fortunately all but extinct.
“2001: A Space Odyssey”
I'm with you. Opera-Dub? Dubpra? Opera-Step? Opera-Dropra? Dub-Vocal-Warm-Ups-Step?? I'm lost.
Dr. Strangelove. It is said by the plane’s commander, Major. TJ “King” Kong (Slim Pickens).
Ohh my god this smells bad.
I read it in Ricky Gervais voice
“windjammer ... barque Mahommed Shah”
rather easy to narrow it down though, the hull shape is instantly recognizable as a windjammer, and a quick search shows that the barque Mahommed Shah, burnt and sank but passengers and crew were picked up a couple days later. this was roughly 400m south of Cape Leeuwin... if that is not a great candidate i don’t know…
