Fortunately, most of the time, terrible people have a hard time getting along, even with other terrible people.  It’s when they do get along that you have to watch out.

You know he just had to have some pseudo-medieval backdrop for his little crusade for the nonexistent “Judeo-Christian” culture he’s so enamored of. It’s not enough to just buy some office space. It’s all empty symbolism and bluff so the optics are very important.

I actually like the idea of publicly financed campaigns as a partial fix, but I’m not sure how you’d stop all the PACs and Super PACs from still spending money for their preferred candidates since we’ve decided that money is speech essentially.
