There is one key difference between Amazon and Tesla/Uber. While Amazon has always made slim profits, at any given point they could have essentially flipped a switch and made money hand over fist in insane amounts. Tesla/Uber don’t have that liberty to do that, they basically couldn’t do that if they wanted.

Debt is not death. A financial crisis is not death. None of these problems come close to a lack of drinking water and electricity that will actually result in a high death toll. It could use other forms of help long term, but none of those other problems were humanitarian emergencies like this is.
