What are you even talking about? Other people, who know how to read, have already made some reasonable suggestions to answer my question. I don’t know what moral stand you think is being made here but you are missing the fucking point.

Barstool doesn’t just function on its dumbass website, though. They also have an infinitely larger impact on social media engagement which is where the bulk of their influence lies. Not to mention their podcast that gets legitimate guests to play along with their schtick.

Deadspin is currently #270 in the USA Alexa Rankings and Barstool is #370. BSS’s traffic has increased at around double the clip of DS over the past 3 months.

So why are there only 3 articles with the Barstool Sports tag in the entirety of Deadspin history? Compare that with their coverage of The Ringer, for example.

Despite BSS’s colorful antics, they haven’t been sued into oblivion with former managing editors and founders disgraced in a Florida courtroom.

You mock their readers and brush aside their contributors, but the site has weekly guests from multiple athletes, coaches, media personalities and celebrities. How many does

(Barshit or barstool or whatever the fuck it is)

PMT is incredible, and I’ve been kind of amused at the TOTAL lack of coverage it’s received from Deadspin. It seems to be taking over the sports social media world lately. They get great guests and usually deliver entertaining interviews. I know Big Cat probably doesn’t have the Deadspin Blogger Stamp of Approval but

Pardon My Take is better than anything Deadspin has going on. Now go back to posting Hulk Hogan sex tapes and complying with gay porn stars to extort Conde Naste executives.

Most of the writers on Barstool suck.

Pardon My Take > Any and all “sports” blogs, pods, and sites

Barstool > Deadspin

Lol this website itself rips off half the shit barstool comes up with. Big Cat and PFT have more humor in one hour of PMT than this website’s entire history and I have been reading this for a long time. Here’s one example of Deadspin tagging onto a funny concept started by PFT

Guessing you’ve never heard of Carl Lindros. Or Press Maravich for that matter. What Lavar is doing is nothing new...and just like Carl Lindros, Press Maravich, Tony Rasmus, Jeff Johnson, and countless other “sports dads” have found out, that style almost universally fails. Eric Lindros is arguably the most

Gawker is recently deceased because they pissed off a billionaire in a country where lawsuit roulette is permitted to suppress speech and destroy speakers. So no, I don’t ‘see how that works.’ Nor do I see how Deadspin can be blamed for covering a teenager who is surrounded by a publicity-making machine that is the

I can’t help but wonder how Lavar Ball might be seen differently if he were white and his kids played a sport in which they were less visible, like say, baseball. Would he be perceived in a more favorable light by the mostly white press that questions his character at every turn?

I don’t think people find Cracker Barrel racist at this point. Go or don’t go, but the decision should be about whether or not your coworkers will think you’re dorky for taking them to a place with a kitschy gift shop and checker tables next to large fireplaces.

PS: Get the chicken and dumplings, or just a breakfast

Lavar Ball is a douchebag that is hoping to make money off of his kid’s success, mainly because he failed at doing it himself.

I would like to humbly suggest that “pushing one’s kids to excel” and “deciding before they are born that they must fulfill your own thwarted ambitions and micromanaging their lives toward that goal from birth onward” are not the same thing but are in fact quite different things.

My gripes and musings:

The best part was DeMario saying, “Who is this?” when seeing Lexi. If there was any doubt about his guilt for me before, that erased it. Like, if you’re such an upstanding guy with nothing to hide, why lie about knowing her?
