Have you come across Wrapunzel? They have an Online shop and a Youtube channel.
I say we dorks take to the streets and whack the cool kids with our band instruments while pelting out Castle on the Hill. Dorkmarch18!
I hate hats in the winter - I wear a gorgeous pashmina loosely wrapped around my head and neck that ends up looking exactly like a hijab. No hat head when I arrive at work, and I feel like a sultry 60s film star, especially when it’s snowing. Wear the scarf however you want. Hats suck. :)
I like to wear scarves in the winter. They protect my hair from the cold wind, and keep my ears warm. I’ve only been yelled at it once, and it was from a dude who was cat calling me, so consider the source there.
I think how you wear a headscarf will allow you to avoid cultural appropriation. There are a lot of different ways to wear headscarves - some are obviously religious, but many are not. I am sure that if you look around on fashion sites a bit you’ll find some styles that suits you but are not a culturally/religiously…
I’ve spoken to a number of Muslim women about non-Muslims wearing headscarves and the general consensus is: Go for it!
maybe mix it up with some turban & caftan looks and they will think you are just quirky?
All I think of when I see women wearing headscarves is those old Hollywood glamor women who wore them because they looked chic has hell and didn’t want to have windblown hair whilst riding around in a convertible in a devil-may-care fashion.
There are so many beautiful ways to tie a head scarf, I especially like the twisted crown style myself. Go wild and be fabulous!
I think my mom’s caps were bamboo! She really liked how soft and not-itchy they were. She had a very cool array of scarves, too^.^
It was an emergency. We were ass to ass on each side of the toilet.
If dumdum blog princess can use passive aggressive ageism throughout her whiny tantrum protest posts then I feel emboldened and justified in calling her a spoiled brat who lacks grit and is probably exhausting to be around.
It is FAR too short to refrain from the things that bring you joy! I hope your scarves do exactly that.
When my mother was battling breast cancer (she’s been cancer free for almost three years, yaaay!), she didn’t want to mess with wigs, so she wore scarves. A lot of cancer sites sell little knit caps to wear under the scarves, and they help keep your head warm.
Good luck to you!
You should absolutely rock a set of beautiful, colorful scarves that make you happy! I love the look of headscarves (though I would also not be wearing them as a statement of faith), especially when it’s shit-balls cold out or raining, but I have not a clue about how to style them. If you find some especially pretty…
“My career’s kind of stale, country fans are stupid enough to buy anything”. . . I highly doubt this thought has even vaguely crossed Kylie Minogue’s mind. If you look at her stats outside of the US, she ain’t exactly hurting. This isn’t a “pop retirement” album, it’s just Kylie Minogue making a Kylie Minogue album…
Why does country music have to be the pop music retirement home? Seriously, this has only worked out well for Dan Seals and kind of Hootie. This is not a solid or viable career path.
How can there be such a thing as excessive bathrooms?!
Two people can fit on a toilet at once. Just saying.
