Ugh. I dated a guy that would not stop whining that a reception we were attending was vegan no matter how many times I explained that not eating meat at one meal would not cause him to shrivel up and die. And also that the reception wasn't about him.

I saw Gwar at a teeny, tiny club in the early 90's. I met Oderus Urungus out of costume and he was super nice and gave me a coke. It still tickles me that Oderous Urungus gave me a soda, polite as can be.

When I did my clinical rotation at a women and children's hospital there was a baby there that was only a couple months old whose father was suspected of sexually abusing her. She may have had an STD as a newborn but at least she lived. Poor Ellorah.

I get not wanting to revictimize this woman but she repeatedly made choices that lead to injuries and the eventual death of her child. Even if we can understand why she did what she did it doesn't mean she should get off scott free. I feel terrible for what her life has become but she is culpable in the child's death.
