I don't follow how you both thought the ending would be more cathartic than it was, and that the ending we got was predictable.

I saw that! That was you?

Not for lack of trying.

It's perfect. I mean, I already knew Forrest would burn down his whole life for the show, because he already had, but for the show to be over and him not even know it? It's even more than I expected. And a marvelous moment in time to end the show, to leave us forever wondering how and if he ever realizes the truth.

I still think it's malevolent to take advantage of someone to the degree Grant has of Forrest. Forrest is much too trusting of Grant (another delusion), but Grant doesn't have to keep giving Forrest those nudges to choose his show over his family (certainly not in this episode).

I wouldn't be surprised.

That line wasn't in the original script; they just overheard Alec Baldwin saying it to himself before eating an entire sleeve of Oreos.

Ah, remember when it seemed like this might happen?

I didn't see the Last Man credit on his page, but I figured he must have been "Yoda" given that literally nobody else outside the main cast appeared in this episode.

Bingo. David Chase wanted to make a show about his mommy issues, had to smuggle it into a Mafia show to get people to watch, and then resented viewers for being interested in the Mafia stuff.

Meatman.

It's all pops and buzzes over here!

It's all that gray in the background being in the center of the image.

He is the guy who just last episode thought Melissa was adopted by a black family that mysteriously did not include her in any of their pictures.

The credits opened with:

They also explicitly said the pill didn't have any imprints, which… would just not be true.

The lead guest credit this week was for Keith L. Williams, and I didn't see any guest actors this week, so I'm assuming, after looking at his IMDb page, that he's playing the Yoda kid.

I think that makes a lot of sense. I actually kinda figured "Santa's penis" was related to the name somehow but I wasn't sure how.

That was Bill Paxton.

Pete's appearances on The Jeselnik Offensive were always a highlight, because Anthony was pretty merciless about ripping him (Pete does get in a couple of good responses).
