Australia does have some very decent sparkling wines, especially if (like any reasonable person) you prefer a drier sparkling. Sparkling reds (mostly Pinot noir or Shiraz) are quite the fad here at the moment too, and some of them aren’t terrible. (Which in Aussie = “are good”)
