When I think of Mike Davis, I think of Eck and the 1988 World Series. Game One, one out away from an A’s victory, and Eck, Mr. Control, walked Davis. Kirk Gibson came in to pinch hit, and the rest is history. Eck seemed to have learned a lesson ... in 1989, he only walked 3 batters in 51 games, 57 2/3 innings.

MLS has a lot of problems with the way it is constructed. But promotion/relegation is a non-starter. No league in the world would voluntarily implement promotion/relegation if it was beginning today. If I have enough money to put together a First Division club, I am not joining a league with the potential of my team

Late in the game, a recorded announcer would shout “Everybody clap your hands!” The fans would dutifully clap, and the birds would all fly in mass out of the stadium and over the cove. Clapping stopped, birds returned. First time it seemed like a fluke, but the second time, it was clear the clapping made an impact.

Fanta Limon/Lemon Fanta. Just ask any American who vacationed in Europe, and spent the next five years after their return wondering why it isn't available in the U.S.

Am I the only one who thought it was funny to see "fly your own flag" at the top of the screen?

I'd argue that The Man in the High Castle is too safe of a pick for PKD. I'd opt for whichever one of the druggy books you prefer: The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch, UBIK, or my personal fave, Now Wait for Last Year.
