The Giver. I fucking hate that book.
The Giver. I fucking hate that book.
I hate Mariah Carey, but I should have mentioned more women. Laura Ingells made the first solo transcontinental flight by a female aviator. Also, Helen Hayes was born. She is one of only twelve people to win a Grammy, Tony, Emmy, and an Oscar. (Most places say she was born on October 10th, but that might be debatable…
I think the birth of John Lennon, and the Death of Oscar Schindler and Che Guevara would be more important, but whatever.
Yeah, I'm not touching this one. I'm sure I'd end up saying something dumb.
I support this campaign, but I can't help feeling that there are worse musicians to focus our rage on. Chris Brown??? I'd donate to a stop him kickstarter in a heartbeat.
This seems fine by me. Testicular cancer is a very bad problem for men and if you catch it early then it is a lot more treatable.
I'm going to the gym before I end up saying something stupid about this.
Good. Getting married to anyone is incredibly stupid, but gay people should have the right to be just as dumb as the straights.
I may be mistaken here but I think that actually wouldn't make any sense. If a site is completely responsible for all user content that it hosts then the entire internet would break down. YouTube and Facebook would basically disintegrate. I think at least. I am not a tech lawyer.
Yeah, I don't get the point really. You aren't going to beat Apple and Google in a court of law. They for every dollar they pay a lawyer, could burn ten and still have enough to win.
Listen, this is horrible, and I hope the hackers are punished to the fullest extent of the law. But suing Google for what people post on their site is not okay. Everytime something like this is brought up; trolls come in with the slippery sloe argument. In this case, I think that argument is actually pretty valid.…
Does anyone really drink Red Bull for the energy? It has a pretty weak caffeine content. When I indulge (for workouts), I usually use Rockstar or Monster. Seriously 80mg is barely enough for a low buzz. You could drink three I suppose, but it would get ridiculously expensive very quickly.
I'm not really surprised. You put people in cages and dehumanize them Then you also pay very little to the guards that you don't screen for possible mental problems. It is a recipe for all sorts of horrible things to happen. Also, given that Geo Group is involved, I'm linking to a brilliant John Oliver segment.
That Juicy Jay tweet is actually kind of heartwarming. Now if only he actually put some of those words into his songs instead of bragging about money and bitches.
I would vote for anything by Joe Hill or maybe Neil Gaiman, but the best one out of these has to be Scary Stories. That book legitimately terrified me when I was younger. I vaguely think that its sequels were a little bit better, but I may be mistaken. It was a while ago.
Last book that I read was Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage by Haruki Murakami. It was weird as hell and kind of creepily sexual in places. I would definitely recommend it though; he can really paint a picture with words. Just be prepared for page long dissertations on jazz music and six fingered…
Good point. I've said some pretty stupid, and occasionally sexist stuff on this website, but I just wish more people were like you. You actually made a well reasoned argument, rather then just restoring to insult and mockery. That is not very common here.
I don't want everyone agreeing with me. That would be incredibly boring. What I want is people having discussions that don't immediately devolve into calling me horrible names, saying I support rapists, and generally acting like what conservatives think feminists are.
I was expecting a lot of single animals being cute, but I am actually shocked at how many animals riding other animals I can find.
