When you get to be that age, the life choices you’ve made the past 60 years all have added up. There is a huge disparity among the health and appearance of individuals in their 60s. Some look like they’re in their 70s, some look like they’re in their 50s (genes also affect this).

I’m just saying it’s completely common for a given C5 to be as fast as a C6.

Of course it does! But newer Corvettes are generally owned by older men who don’t modify their cars much.

The LS1 in the C5 is very easy to make more power with. Just a couple bolt-ons will equal or exceed the output of a stock LS2 (or LS3).
