I sold the 2G for a 1G Talon, which I eventually modified to run 12-sec 1/4s...

Wow!

I want to learn more about your car (well, the engine at least).

The 3.5L Ecoboost V6 is so far superior to any of the Modular V8’s that Ford offers.

His is a manual...but again, I don’t know how well he shifts, launches, etc.

No, the car *seemed* fast to me with my ignorant 16-year old mind (this was when Fast and the Furious was very popular and stock Civics were seen as race cars). I had no experience with anything that had actual power...and my friends were the same way.

I agree that C3s have quite a bit of potential (and look great), but I’d say there are plenty of Corvette purists out there that just like to burble around in their bone-stock 200hp Stingrays.

The only way to get a BRZ into even the low 6 sec 0-60 range is to beat the hell out of the poor thing...my friend (his likely terrible driving notwithstanding) couldn’t get his out of the 16s in the quarter.

I had it 2006-2008. It was in decent shape, but the paint wasn’t as perfect as that photo makes it look...really just rock chips as far as blemishes go, though.

I’d imagine the Raptor is actually electronically limited to that speed, due to its tires (and their speed ratings).

My 1st car, a 5-speed ‘98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS (non-turbo 140hp). My friend’s automatic 4-cyl Honda Accord was faster than it.

Doesn’t sound that slow.

True, but luckily, under all the emissions crap and choked heads/tiny cam was a real 350 SBC that could be worked over to respectable power levels with a Jegs catalog.

My mom’s 5-speed 2005 Honda Civic DX (when I was 16).

Love that custom taillight surround.

Currently running a carbed Gen II SBC (LT1). Cam, headers, HEI ignition, etc. Stock rear end for now.

That’s why you toss in a dash of ‘Merican Muscle:

“Lazy V8”? This sucker has an LT1!

Not a CRX. EF hatch.

Well it was turbocharged and had enough NOS to blow himself up.
