Which, in the case of the Netflix show, I take issue with because while Danny is trained in a ton of martial art styles he gets his ass beat up and down for about 13 hours in every non-goon fight. I actually think the show ended up being a great metaphor for white priv.

Iron Fist wasn’t whitewashing, Danny Rand is caucasian. The argument about if he should’ve been played by an Asian actor on the TV has A LOT of merit but its not whitewashing. 

I think this is certainly DCs problem when it comes to adapting their stuff but Marvel has picked such obscure yet beloved directors for a good portion of there movies and to lesser extent initial stars that the audience is forced to focus on character and story rather then HOLY FUCK BEN AFFLECK
