Practically every adult in that shot is obese. I don’t exactly live in cosmo New York or Miami Beach, but my goodness, the majority of people in my town are normal to slightly overweight, with probably a few too many obese people. It’s weird that there are parts of the country where literally everyone is fat.

The fact that he once did such great things and now shills for Donald Trump makes his downward spiral all the more sad. He’s a shell of his former self. Hence, the warranted boos.

Some of DeBartolo’s ‘friends’ in Ohio might have given them an offer they couldn’t refuse.

Just a reality today. Middle class white Americans today avoid any venues where there’s a black turnout beyond a token level. My father took us to a lot of A’s games in the ‘80s. Typically my brother and I were the only white kids shagging home run balls during batting practice in the outfield bleacher seats two Read more

Candlestick was in the city. BART had shuttles going to the stadium from their downtown stations. They should have just built a new stadium at the same location as candlestick, played at Stanford during construction. But no. Tech industry. Gotta get to silicon valley. All those tech dweebs live in the city Read more

Please don’t call police unions “unions”. They’re not unions. They’re not pro labor organizations. Call them a propaganda wing, a mafia, whatever, but not labor unions.

The A’s can’t win 90 games with the lowest payroll in baseball every year. Just 1 out of every 4 or so.

Looked even better at night time with the lights on the hills. Of course, if you’re at the top of Mt. Davis you can see the city. The problem is you can’t see the field because you’re just about at the height of the moon.

The elephant in the room is that the Confederacy is considered part of America even by non Southerners, non Southerners in powerful, elite positions. A lot of wealthy New Yorkers were against the Civil War, because they too capitalized on the backs of slave labor. A lot of poor Irish in the Northeastern cities (back Read more

Sort of OT but DeBartolo-York related. I’m reading a book called “Interference” right now that gets into the DeBartolo families mob connections. And, if this guy’s not bullshitting, it’s no light weight stuff. Really enjoying it.

My favorite is “sports proves racism doesn’t exist”. Nothing disproves racism like 32 white guys making billions on the backs of 1500 black guys.

Read “The Bronx Zoo” if you love baseball and even remotely miss the attitude of players in the ‘70's and ‘80s.

San Francisco will always be the true city of the west. Southern California is the end result of delusional white supremacists overbuilding on top of a desert.

If you think part of a cop’s job is to lay a shoulder into someone like that and send them flying into a car, you’re EVERYTHING that’s wrong with this fucking world. Fuck you and your lame, transparent attempt at being pragmatic.

Dude, he laid a shoulder into that guy and sent him flying onto a parked car. That’s not part of ANYONE’S job.
