$25k does sound a bit steep. I've got a 100% original '75 280Z (85k miles, OEM and rust free down to the plates that were put on it in '75) that was appraised right at $10k two years ago. Yep, Sam Smith's (wife's) old 1991 318i. Now with Bilsteins, (spanked) snow tires, and Caswell's old 4.10 LSD.
Had around 6" in the lot, I had raised my E30 up last week in preparation, but the skidplate still plowed all the snow. Running on spanked snow tires didn't help either. :)
I am the E30 owner and yes I know it was no contest! The snow caught me out with some seriously spanked Winterforces that only momentum and a 4.10 LSD could help! Pretty hard to beat an Open Class Legacy with trick diffs front and rear.
