If anyone was proportioned like sailor moon, they would break their legs and die. As would any grown woman 100lbs lighter than this one. She looks perfectly lovely and you should really let your fellow geeks be.

Yeah. The odds of him not raping at least one of those women is statistically impossible.

Same. I was in for 2 for the in-laws who are on a heath kick. It would be cool if they came in, though im not holding my breath.

I agree. I'm definitely not faulting them for not having the options right off the bat. It's a huge deal in production to have any sort of differences and you really need a high volume to make it work. Design would be quite hard to get right also for the reasons you stated. I like this doll for what it is - a more

Yep! I definitely checked on that when I saw the doll mentioned. I think it's in pretty limited production right now so they're working to get cash to expand.

The creators are working on more ethnicities and body shapes now that the original Kickstarter funded doll has been created.

I would disagrer with you here. If you only buy gendered toys, then you are reinforcing gender roles. Period. Kids are getting messages all the time. If other people/the advertisers are saying X is a boys toy and the parents aren't counteracting that, then that is all they hear.

Non-stick canola spray.

Wrong Kristin! One is an Emmy and Tony award winning singer and actress and one used to be on Laguna Beach...

I have definitely heard that from the ECE profs in the building. I'm also a proponent of project based education and it really doesn't work with common core. We raise kids just taking multiple choice tests and then send them out into the real world to do things. It's really insane when you think about it.

Common core would be far better without the testing component, however, the biggest issue is in the cookie cutter approach to education. You can standardize education all you want, but you cannot standardize students. This stardarda are far tonslow for some students and too fast for others. Kids develop differently.

Yeah. It really doesn't work if you do it that way. What 7th grader isn't already online and using social media? Scare classes are so ineffective whether they be for drugs, sex or excessive facebook sharing (by far the worst)...lol.

I feel like hearing about it and really "getting" it are two separate things. Some people (especially those on here) understand what to teach to kids and how to introduce things slowly. This isn't the case everywhere. I did tech support for Verizon Fios. You would be amazed how bad some people are with computers and

Teaching kids internet safety i important. I personally think that it should be covered in school rather than a lot of the things they throw on standardized tests. What you are saying just isn't valid anymore, however. You really can't supervise children online anymore. It's just too ubiquitous. They aren't in your

Yeah. It definitely does not correspond with the map. I learned this when I lost electricity and they cut off my internet after 50mb...apparently I'd been roaming on att. I was really hoping for better coverage than Virgin Mobile when I switched to a contract t-mobile plan, but Virgin has better coverage at my house :(

Yes. Fishing was, in fact, one of her many skills...lol.

No man. See the poor form. Only one fish at a time AND he got pinched for poaching. There is only on supreme hand fisher(wo)man.

Rock on! There was less of the sexist crap before Kinja on all of Gawker media as there was some moderation and it was more pleasant to read as a girl since it wasn't so constant. In any case *techie girl solidarity fist bump*

I hadn't read that. I know others were were not allowed at some Disney parks. I think it depends on the park and how strict they are with enforcement of things. If I were staffing the place I'd certainly let her wear her hijab, because it really isn't the most costumed place when you look at the servers.

I'm not saying that the are in the right (I hang out with women who wear hijabs quite a bit and might ask them when classes start up again), just that they are insane with rules about how EVERYONE looks. They might still be in the wrong, I'm honestly not sure with what I've read. I do think that there is a difference
