I've been picking up Flannery O'Connor vibes throughout the whole show — especially the scenes in the woods in Episode 9 put my very much in mind of "A Good Man is Hard to Find". (There's even a pretty funny Catholic moment in episode 8 — "It was a _homily_. Sermons are for Protestants… filthy heathens.")
