I’m a mother who needed to go back to work for sanity’s sake. I’m not a stay-at-home mom, I can’t deal with being home all day for weeks on end. What I want is a workplace that will accommodate me as a parent rather than expect me to be an undemanding, replaceable human cog.

I was told in no uncertain terms that I could not bring my baby back to work with me. This same office allowed a coworker to bring her sick dog in two to three times a week for hours at a time over the course of months even though there was *state* *law* forbidding dogs and other pets in our office.
