I hope I run into this guy somewhere on the street. As the father of a six year old, this is filling me with equal parts of rage with a taste for severe retribution and a nearly uncontrollable anguish and sadness.

I’m not saying, I’m just saying... I’ll never let him around my 7 year old. And I doubt - push comes to shove - you would either.

It is cheaper than getting a baby sitter. I pay my sitter $10/hr for 3 hours, factor in $12 a ticket. We also go to a theater where they serve food/alcohol - so factor in $7 for candy and maybe $15 for a beer and a glass of wine for my better half. We’re already at $78 IF we don’t actually eat real food. I’m not

I feel like i had pretty good success. I met a girl on e Harmony around 10 years, and we've been married for nearly 9.

This.

I miss being able to post to facebook or twitter from the notification center. It was nice not having to open the actual app to do this. Am I missing something?

I don't know about the own piece. But you can upgrade, just like getting a new lease with a car. You pay a little money, sign a new agreement, pay your $6/month. And I'm not trying t convince you to watch more tv or not go through Xbox. Do whatever you want. For me - cost savings don't outweigh inconvenience in

SuperMax as a concept was created as a direct response to 2 prisoners... Clayton Fountain and Thomas Silverstein, both of whom had very strong ties to the Aryan Brotherhood. Between the two of them they murdered 8 people inside in 2 years, including 2 correctional officers. The corrections officers that they killed

eh agree to disagree. I'm not in love with TV, but i get $100 of value per year out of my cable boxes. Convenience is my primary motivation, and I'll pay for the privelege.

It's not apples and oranges. Regardless, your assetssment of the Directv model is partially correct. You pay a fee up front - $99 - $199, and then you pay a monthly fee. However, you don't and never do own it. It's a lease. Just like with an auto lease, you owe some money up front.

Directv offers the first box for free, charges $6 for each additional box. There is officially a fee for DVR service, but frequently you can get that waived.

"most"? i don't even pay $20 for 4 cable boxes in total.

directv costs $6/month for a cable box and frequently offers DVR service for free.

@datwangal If you budget is that tight that $5 or $10 / month is a big deal, you should re-evaluate your career choices and probably forgo cable entirely.

God forbid studios and distributors want to make some money off of the hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars they invested to create and distribute a given tv program. The audacity!

Alright so here's the challenge, and I'll pose it as a question. What do you do with people who are so dangerous and violent that surrounding them with other people only puts those other people at risk of death or significant bodily injury? Many of the people in SuperMax have had a number of different opportunities

@m9105826 I read your comment to mean you have a foreign perspective. Apologies for assuming. But i also never said that the american system was perfect - simply that many foreign opinions/perspective just don't adequately account for the rather violent nature of criminals that exist in the US that don't exist in

This is where I struggle with foreign opinions. You are entitled to your opinion, I would never take that from you. However, your opinion is based on Crime in your own country and not the US reality. SuperMax is not a first resort, it's a last resort. And frequently the people that end up there can not safely

Do you know what SuperMax is and how you get there? This isn't normal Maxium Security. Not a single person in a SuperMax prison is ever getting out of prison.
