It’s just so unreal to me to think that 19 grown people stood in a hallway for an hour because they assumed (allegedly) that the shooter was cornered and had already killed all of the children inside so they could afford to wait and bring out their military toys.

I am in complete agreement. How is it that thousands and thousands of business people got to take a risk with starting a business and got their PPP loans completely forgiven? Why isn’t that logic applied to students?

It’s disheartening to see but there’s nothing to be done.

I wish this wasn’t means tested and that everyone could live debt free because public colleges should have been free and need to be free.

It is definitely a case of continued police incompetence.

I honestly think his House of Representatives gig was to make him seem humble and like he “earned” his chance at the Senate.

Tangential: Pelosi said she’s supporting Cuellar because he’s the incumbent but she didn’t seem to have a problem supporting Joe Kennedy against Ed Markey in the last election.

I didn’t call you transphobic. I said “I don’t know what you’re trying to say.” You didn’t clarify your original response. Did you mean that people are more transphobic than trans people and their allies believe? Did you mean that trans people misjudged how many people of their fellow-Mulaney fans are transphobic?…

I think what makes this all a bit more difficult is that we’re in a new-ish age of comedy where the jokes aren’t centered on identity and are more conscience (“woke”). Bo Burnham and John Mulaney are two of the most prominent people in this wave.
