Perhaps you’ve heard of diabetes?

I won’t bother watching this movie because I went through college studying the environment and climate change. It’s depressing and there’s no way that we can stop it. It’s wildly optimistic of people thinking that we can limit our emissions to like whatever degree of warming that is “acceptable.”

In an alternate

It was upsetting and unnecessary.

It doesn’t help that we keep accomplishing things that seem like they should mark a turn-around, but they never do. You elect the right people only for them to be ultimately powerless. You support local candidates only to find that they’re outnumbered. We had all three arms of government for a minute in the late ‘00s

Why does it seem like the mega rich and powerful, those who could actually have an impact on how we deal with climate change, all act like they have a spaceship waiting to take them to some other paradise planet where they won’t be bothered by all us “lessers”? I have yet to understand that mindset. Either they really

This is too true. The “raising awareness” part of climate change is past. The message has been beat into the ground. Those who get the message still get it. They’re the ones watching this movie. They congratulate each other on how smart they are and upvote it. Those who don’t want to get the message either won’t watch

Thank You!

R’amen.

I’m not experiencing it so nobody is experiencing it.

I think the reason so many of us aren’t really talking about climate change is because we’re fucking tired and hopeless. We’ve reached the point the characters reach in the final act - we’ve talked, we’ve advocated, we’ve “raised awareness,” we’ve supported politicians we thought would do something, and we’ve realized

It was upsetting and unnecessary.”

My circle of friends are talking about it quite a bit.

the movie feels like Idiocracy for our current generation, but with a fair chance to be in mainstream conversations.

JBT then unhinges his jaw and swallows the entire boot

I mean, I get your snark, but at the same time, how often do you see new cop cars vs new school buses, new city buses, new garbage trucks, new snow plows, new fire trucks? Seriously, as soon as the new Explorers and Tahoes were out, it took like a month or two to already see the local & state police with them. Why do

This reads more like a list of band tshirts that will make Karens mad at church. I don’t hate all of them, though. My current six(six six):
1. Black Sabbath
2. Judas Priest
3. NAILS
4. Mercyful Fate/King Diamond
5. Gatecreeper
6. Weedeater*

*I moved from Denver to the South. Stoner metal is high in my rotation.

Sleep is such a great fucking band that no one mentions...like me :(

I don’t know about Boomers being responsible for “all this,” but they are a failed generation. No generation has faced less adversity with more privilege and accomplished so little while supporting policy that is to the detriment of the future of the country. It really is remarkable.

Offshore wind blows strongest at night.

How soon we forget Reagan and “deficits don’t matter”. And Trump’s tax cut (trillions with the long term ramifications) for the rich and corporations.
