Name checks out.

These are, uhh, all things that effect peoples’ ability to purchase, maintain, and otherwise drive their automobiles. These topics fall well within the sphere of automotive journalism, especially on an automotive site that publishes like a modern 24-hour news service.

No one is arguing he doesn’t have time to serve. He panicked. He fucked up.

Good. Ethan Couch got probation for killing four people while under the influence, because the jury was convinced he was simply too wealthy to understand consequences.

Found the fool!

A tornado not on the ground is still a tornado. A tornado warning is still a signal to get your ass to as much safety as possible as quickly as possible. It’s not a “hey guys, something might maybe happen a little later but carry on.”

I’ve lived in Tornado Alley my entire life and I’ve never lived anywhere that used sirens that way. You’re describing a Tornado WATCH, which is basically a “Hey, conditions are looking pretty tornadoey, be careful.” The sirens signal a Tornado WARNING, meaning that an actual tornado has be spotted either in-person or

No. That’s what’s called a tornado watch.

Of course that was the judge.

. . . the dispatcher working for Amazon, following Amazon’s policies, relaying commands to an Amazon driver. Yeah, fucking Amazon is a guilty party here.

The dispatcher is in fact acting as a agent for Amazon, so the story and headline are completely valid.

There was a similar case several years ago. A truck driver was holed up in his truck on waiting out road conditions. It dropped to -14 and falling with no way to keep his cab warm. He decided to book it to somewhere warm and come back in the morning. The trucking company fired him.

It can never be said enough...

Yeah, the only thing worse than getting an NFT for Christmas would have to be listening to someone explain why they got you an NFT for Christmas.

Glad I’m not the only one constantly wondering if I’m bringing up my kids in what will soon be an authoritarian hellscape, devoid of any human empathy, beset by constant sectarian and political violence and where every day feels worse than the last. Mmmmmm.....Love the smell of existential dread at Christmas time!

For me it’d probably be the existential dread that we’re living in the twilight years of American democracy and that the 2020 Election is very likely going to be the closest thing to a free election for the near future as the right inevitably tries to commit another coup.

1. It’s pretty well documented.

I believe history will show that Elon Musk is more of a Thomas Edison than a Nikola Tesla.
