Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying that each view is equally correct. The other fun part of art is discussing one's view of it with others. In getting to listen to other views, art becomes a shared experience as well.

To your basic question: there is no right way to enjoy a show or any other kind of art. You bring your own backstory with you when you view it. So, when Sammy Hagar said there's only one way to rock, he was wrong.
