Is the letter from Chuck really from him? Kim got the letter from Howard and I suspect she took a peek at it and upon seeing its contents rewrote it to make is much more sympathetic. I saw a bit of fear in her eyes when Jimmy grabbed it and said he would read it to the panel...she really over emphasized the good words…

Jimmy using the term ‘Communion’ will trigger the DA to do some digging and she’ll realize the scam. Eventually Jimmy will become Saul to save Kim. Kim changes her identity and runs. Cinnabon Jimmy is looking for her.

Could have been padding but during the montage we see Mrs Nguyen get increasingly irritated with Jimmy which led up to the scene where she confronts him and he gives her a phone. Not sure where that will lead but I doubt it was a throwaway scene.
