True haha. Those things were competing against Trabants well after the fall of the Soviet Union. Although a Sky/Solstice were pretty much separate from the respective brands terribleness. That was the top car for Saturn, and as such I figured GM wouldve at least tried. Maybe not tho, I'm currently a FCA dealer tech,

That is true. I had misread the article, so I believed that they were saying that the fabricated set up led to the wreck, not that the evidence in court was fabricated. That was my fault

Hm, that’s interesting. Just about everything I’ve worked on from that year has been chipped, so I don’t see why gm wouldn’t have followed suit. Heck, their keys in the 90's had a little resistor in them as an early “chip”. Strange.

That I don't know.

“Now GM hopes for a similar verdict, as plaintiff Zachary Stevens is trying to obtain damages from the company after crashing his Saturn in Texas. Automotive News says GM claims Stevens, his parents and their lawyers used a false key (which was laden with a heavy keychain) as evidence, and that the key shown to the

Ahhhh yes. I appear to have misread that. 😅 My apologies

A fabricated key? Sounds sketchy to me, as a dealership technician. Most modern keys are chipped to prevent theft, so that way even a perfectly mapped/copied key can’t be used to start the vehicle. So if he “fabricated” this key, it shouldn't allow the vehicle to run or stay running, unless he somehow also put the

That looked an awful lot like a practice airfield strafing run. I bet that's how they sold it to the higher ups at least

That thing is rad. Congrats on being awesome and congrats on now being a Jalop writer

I don't know about boost level caps (though the full FIA technical regulations did hit the Internet like a year or two ago), but these cars are dumb quick now, so I'm gonna assume that even if boost was limited, the teams would just find a work around to make MOAR POWER a different way.

Side note, with it being a Saturday, you guys should go find Tru Motorsport (it's on south street I think) and see if they still have the car meet there after 9:00 pm. The last time I went was when I lived there for college (LTI) and there were cool cars there then. No promises about now, but it's something to check

Hey! I'll be down there Sunday, hopefully I'll be able to find y'all, meet everyone, and maybe get some stickers for the soon to be repaired RX-8. (By the way, new motor for it, so I'll have like 4,000 miles worth of bliss before I get paranoid about my apex seals shattering again.)

Dodge has this, it's pretty rad. Courtesy of the FCA fleet vehicle site. I wonder if being a dealer employee will let me order one of these.

Senator McCain completely broke down that General. I'm pretty impressed, tho I think Senator McCain should speak to the next guy up from the General, since it sounds like the General is just relaying stuff from his boss and trying to defend that when required.

Any updates on this? I'm kind of curious if that sub has been found

That will be brilliant. Imagine the camera panning across the screen after one of those giant road races the old TG did, with Matt, Harris, and Sabine in some “slow” cars (like a mazda speed 3 or focus), then Evans looking sullen and confused about how his “fast” car (Porsche/Lambo/etc) got beaten by three good

I can understand that, tho my back seat and back doors aren't what one would call convienent or luxurious.

Ahhhhh, ok. What do you have? A Sl600?

I have a Lightning Yellow RX8, I’m sure that it means I need more attention in my life, although I am partial to crazy colors.

But your V12 has 700+ lb-ft of torque. There's more torque in one of those than in a Cummins.
