@Tre_Green: I was pretty skeptical about the game until I read the GI article. It sounds like they're doing everything right, it sounds like they're approaching this with the right attitude, a lot of passion, and the full backing of Disney. I'm excited about what could be, there's a lot of potential here for a great

@D-K, a burning sensation: Even beyond that, it doesn't make sense to release the same game on the Wii and the PS360. If the game does well I could see them developing a PS360 game but it should be it's own game designed from the ground up for the PS360. #disneyepicmickey

I wonder if there's a cheap way to import this, my g/f would love it. #eroticgames

@Nethlem: Ok, first off, read what I type or don't bother responding. I've said 3 different times in this one thread that I don't like that they're taking away dedicated servers. I'm not arguing that they should do that, I think it's shitty to take away that option and I feel bad for people who want to play that way.

@Lezard: I have to agree about the ad campaign. That, along with some less than encouraging reviews kept me from buying the game. Earlier this year I rented it with Gamefly on a whim and was completely floored. It's definately the best game I almost never played. If they'd done a better job with the ads and shown

@Izod517: I definately agree that the game got more media attention than it really deserved even though I loved the game itself. And yeah, specific examples like that tend to derail people from the point being made for some reason. #tud

@Nethlem: Your logic is nonexistent. Just because dedicated servers have been around forever and most PC games use them doesn't make them any less hardcore, or whatever verb we'd like to describe the particular subset of PC gamers who a willing to pay to create dedicated servers that they will run and play with their

@Variatas: Firstly, completely unrelated to what I posted. Secondly, you do not represent the majority of IW's customers. The majority are not what you would call "hardcore" gamers. They dont care about custom content and they'd trade a little lag for accessability. The majority will like the matchmaking, you will

@deanbmmv: But people will buy it anyway. And most people will play and enjoy the multiplayer. The $60, I agree there but it could easily be argued that money will go to paying for IWNet. Yes, you dont want it, I know. Thats why you dont buy it. The people who will be buying it will be enjoying it. Most of them

@Hyperion45: I'll take the whiny little kids over the superiority complex anyday.

@ThreeOneFive: Yes, anyone who supports IW is killing the industry, the industry that has had record growth and seen countless good games released in the last couple years. But it's dying. Maybe you next you wanna tell me about how no one will never buy a game with "motion controls" and that PC gaming is on the

@-MasterDex-: You are so illogical. Last week you make the argument that dedicated servers are better because they give you more options than matchmaking and now you're complaining because they've added an optional mode to the game. You're welcome to not like the idea but flipfloping on your rational makes you sound

@the_little_furry_dude: I could have done without reading the article at all. The majority of things considered news these days are crap which is why I don't watch/listen/read it. And I would see your point except that the article does nothing to inform anyone about any issue other than the fact that one idiot

@Marcos Velazquez: That's like saying that if someone gets killed over a pair of air-jordans then it should be reported on ESPN. The reason I dont object to this story being posted here is because it is an example of the general media blaming videogames for things that obviously had nothing to do with them and that

I just read Penny Arcade's latest strip and the companion blog post and thought I'd share what Tycho/Jerry Holkins had to say. In regard to the petition:

@Izod517: Strongly disagree about Brutal Legend. Everything else is spot on though. #tud

@singlecoilpickup: No, I understand statistics fine. The problem here is in your logic. First off, for your sample to be accurate it has to be a random sample and this is clearly not random. The news has primarily spread to those who will be most upset by this, the average or "casual" fan wont have heard anything

@Tyber_Zann: @Tyber_Zann: Honestly, why would 100K sigs, in an online petition no less, matter to them? 100K is a drop in the bucket for these guys, CoD4 sold 14+million. They probably figure they'll more than make up for that number by forcing pirates to buy the game. I'm not saying it's right to do this, and I'm
