I’m so ready to Dynamax a Magikarp.
Woah, woah, wait. There’s a Wars of the Roses game? Huge Shakespeare nerd here. What kind of game is it?
I’m so ready to play this with my DDR pad. (After I figure out how to get it to talk to a Switch.)
I was stoked about this remake for a good long time. I loved FFVII, but the pathos of little Lego people was sometimes difficult to take seriously. Also, I could tell even then (this was my very first JRPG experience) that something about the translation seemed off and that I was very sketchy on some plot details…
Is there a difficulty setting? I’m fairly certain the first one had Normal and Hard mode at the very least, and it’s challenging enough that I play on Normal. Most of the SMT games can be pretty difficult, but the occasional too-easy offerings (like Tokyo Mirage Sessions) are balanced out by being able to play on Hard.
I can’t stop playing Beat Saber. It’s immersive DDR for your arms.
Well, Goddamnit, I preordered the big box version for my partner. This doesn’t seem to bode well for its eventual delivery.
I just restarted Persona Q after I went back to it a year or so after the last time I played it and discovered that my cart was corrupted. I’d forgotten how addictive and satisfying the gameplay loop is, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I’m mostly enjoying the mostly adorable character interactions. There are a lot…
But #CanYouPetTheDog?
My friends just deal with the fact that there is a 90% chance that my car’s stereo is playing the Black Mages, Bit Brigade, or the soundtrack of Tokyo Mirage Sessions.
The only gatcha-style game that has ever held my attention is Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei Liberation, which is a mobile game that I can whole-heartedly recommend. It’s a logical fit for a gatcha game — demon summoning is pretty thematically close to gatcha — but because there is a ton of stuff to do and because the…
Let’s be real, about half of those outfits look like they could have come from a Final Fantasy game anyway.
What’s particularly offensive is that it’s not even good plagiarism. It takes some fairly solid prose and twists it into something stylistically inferior that uses less appropriate synonyms and some shockingly poor grammar. I used to teach writing courses, and this looks exactly like the plagiarism committed by 17…
As a woman who is currently on-and-off playing Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Ni No Kuni II, Ni No Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn, Persona Q, Radiant Historia, and Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, all at the same time, I salute you, sir.
Vanguard. My parents mostly disliked video games (they were of the “rots your brain” school of thought), but my uncle bought us an Atari 5200 at a garage sale. Vanguard was my favorite game. I loved the fanfare and the satisfying PEW PEW noises, and I like pretending I was flying an X-Wing. I wasn’t very good at it,…
It’s easy to build a backlog when you work two jobs and all you play is 60-80 hour JRPGs.
I’ve been obsessively playing the gloriously weird and wonderfully charming Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE for the past few weeks, and I’m excited to play more this weekend. It’s 100% the reason I bought a Wii U, and it was 100% worth it. My boyfriend is baffled by the game. “A Shin Megami Tensei / Fire Emblem crossover…
So here’s what I’m wondering: will there be an option to import your original P5 save? Because I’d absolutely get this if I could start out with New Game+, letting me breeze through the stuff I’ve already played so I could focus on the new material.
I used to have a friend that would take me and my ex along to the local casino for company. He’d go do whatever high-stakes gambling he was into, and give me 20 bux for the slot machines as a thank you for coming along. I’d go play a slot machine til I made 5 bux, then cash out and switch machines. I’d never get a…
