When I say “JRPG,” I’m talking about turn-based RPGs from Japan, but the line just keeps getting fuzzier as more and more games incorporate RPG elements. Monster Hunter Stories is the JRPG-iest game in the franchise, with all the crafting and gear loadout elements paired with a simple but quite fun turn-based battle

My favorite part of this is that she sews her costumes on an antique Singer that might actually be older than she is.

I have no idea what this game even is, but now I’m seriously considering playing it because I could turn into a rabbit and turn other people into sheep, two my absolute favorite things to do in any game.

...is it ridiculous that now I just want this game because of the metal coins.

I am so excited to fold this cardboard, and I’m 32. I don’t have a Switch yet, but this will be one of the first things I buy when I get one.

You’re giving me lightning flashbacks from the hours I spent doing that a decade ago....

I didn’t expect the comments to devolve into a round condemnation of marriage, children in general, and “them damn entitled kids need to earn their own way, dangnabit!” The kid is five. Parents do dorky things for their kids because they love them. So do older siblings. My older cousin used to patiently help me, my

All I want from SquareEnix is a Japanese voice patch for FFX/X2 HD, not more BS content for their barely-a-Final-Fantasy game.

I am the person who dislikes Mario Kart. I think I have a lot of repressed trauma from playing it on the N64 with my cousins and losing. Every. Single. Time.

Replace “2k” with “Civ” and this rings truer for me.

She’s adorable, but her voice stabs my ears like a million tiny knives.

Firefox very recently updated, and it’s running more smoothly than ever. I still have to have Chrome installed to run some Google-specific things, but Firefox is certainly the best for straight-up net surfing. Also, as far as I’m concerned, the biggest reason to choose Firefox is the fact that they’re a nonprofit.

An adhesive back? Like they glue to your phone?

Oh, this is great! I’m the obnoxious D&D player who will only play Tibbits (an obscure race from an issue of Dragon Magazine back in 3e), but my fellow players might give that more of a pass if they had the option to play beholders and gelatinous cubes.

I have a vague fondness for Mad Catz from their Rock Band days, but I also recently purchased one of their low-end arcade sticks, and I’ve been very pleased with it. Granted, I use it to play Undertale and Stories: Path of Destinies and not actual fighting games, but it’s responsive enough for my needs. I like how the

Fair enough. I’m more curious about the character than offended until we have more information, but I think that’s also because I had a genderqueer roommate in grad school named Catherine who went by Rin and had a pink wig, and the resemblance is uncanny.

I just love the Commodore-edition soundtrack.

This is the first thing I’ve learned about the remake that justifies its existence to me. I didn’t think Catherine was a game that particularly needed a remake. The stylish cell-shaded graphics still look great. The story is a balanced and interesting narrative about relationships and infidelity starring a believable

I don’t even USE a headset, but now I want one with kitty ears.

Oh, it was. People agreed with my beefiness assessment.
